Canopies, shades & boundaries
Shade Structures & Fencing
Steel, fabric and a wind load. Fabricated in-house, erected by our own crews.
NRGC fabricates and erects tensile shade structures, walkway and car park canopies, steel pergolas, boundary fencing, gates and barriers. Delivered work includes rope tensile shades over public walkways, rooftop tensile canopies and steel pergola structures on completed projects.
Shade is not a decorative package in this climate — it decides whether a car park, a walkway or a terrace is usable between May and September. We fabricate and erect tensile shade structures, rope shades, steel pergolas and canopies, and the boundary work that usually comes with them: fencing, gates and barriers.
Delivered examples include a rope tensile shade over a public walkway, a rooftop terrace canopy, and painted steel pergola frames with coloured infill panels installed in public outdoor space.
What the package covers
- Tensile fabric shade structures
- Car park and walkway canopies
- Steel pergolas and shade frames
- Rooftop and terrace canopies
- Foundations, base plates and holding-down bolts
- Boundary fencing and mesh panels
- Gates, barriers and access points

The site plan flags shades and fencing as an adjacent market still to be confirmed in or out of NRGC’s offer. The delivered shade and pergola work above is real; the fencing and barrier scope is offered on capability.

Questions
About this service
Does NRGC fabricate shade structures in-house?
The steelwork is fabricated and erected by our own steel fabricators, erectors and welders, using our own welding, cutting and bending plant. Tensile fabric is cut and patterned by a specialist fabric supplier and installed by our crews.
Are wind loads engineered?
Structures are built to the design and loading provided or approved by the project engineer. Our civil and structural engineering staff coordinate the foundations, base plates and holding-down details against that design.
Can NRGC fence a site as well as shade it?
Yes — boundary fencing, mesh panels, gates and barriers are steel and civil work of the same kind, and they are commonly taken in the same package as the canopies and hardstanding.
