HSE & Safety

Safety on our packages is a resourcing question before it is a paperwork question. This is who we put on site, what we issue before work starts, and the accreditations we do not hold.

NRGC employs two safety officers directly and can supply safety officers as one of its 40 manpower categories. All directly employed staff are registered with GOSI. NRGC works to the main contractor’s HSE plan and permit-to-work systems on subcontract packages, and issues method statements and risk assessments before work starts. NRGC does not hold ISO 45001 certification and does not publish accident statistics.

Most of our work is delivered as a subcontract package inside someone else's site. That means we operate under the main contractor's HSE plan, permit-to-work system and site rules — we do not run a parallel regime alongside yours. What we bring is our own supervision, our own inducted crews, and the documentation your HSE manager needs before a permit is issued.

Because our tradesmen are directly employed rather than brokered in, the crew that attends the induction is the crew that does the work. That continuity is the single largest practical safety difference between a directly employed workforce and a labour-brokered one.

Issued with every package

  • Method statement for the specific scope
  • Risk assessment covering the identified hazards
  • Named site supervisor and point of contact
  • Safety officer allocation where the package or client requires one
  • Scaffold erection and inspection records for access we install
  • Trade certificates and welder qualifications on request
  • GOSI registration evidence for the deployed crew

NRGC does not hold ISO 45001 or any third-party HSE accreditation, and does not publish lost-time-injury figures, TRIR or man-hours-worked statistics — we have no audited record to quote and will not estimate one. We complete client HSE prequalification questionnaires in full and will supply whatever evidence sits behind the answers above.

How it works on site

01

We work to your HSE plan

On subcontract packages we operate under the main contractor’s HSE plan, permit-to-work system, induction and site rules rather than running a parallel regime. Our safety officers interface with yours.

02

Method statements before mobilisation

Each package is issued with a method statement and risk assessment covering sequence, access, plant and the controls for the specific hazards of that scope, before any crew mobilises.

03

Our own scaffolders erect our access

Scaffold is erected and struck by our own scaffolders using our own material — 650 m² of steel scaffolding and 3,000 props — and inspected before handover to the trades using it.

04

Directly employed, insured and housed

All 155 staff are on NRGC sponsorship and registered with GOSI, and travel from our own accommodation on our own transport. The crew inducted is the crew that works.

Questions

Common questions

Does NRGC hold ISO 45001 or an equivalent safety certification?

No. NRGC does not currently hold ISO 45001 or any third-party HSE accreditation. We state this plainly because it is verified during prequalification in any case. Our safety provision rests on directly employed safety officers, our own supervision and compliance with the main contractor’s HSE plan.

Can NRGC publish its accident or LTI statistics?

No. NRGC does not maintain an audited lost-time-injury or man-hours-worked record, so there is no figure we can quote without estimating one. We would rather say so than publish a number a prequalification audit would not support.

Who supervises NRGC crews on site?

NRGC supervisors and foremen — 6 civil, 3 electrical and 2 mechanical, all directly employed. Two safety officers are employed directly and are allocated to packages where the scope or the client requires dedicated safety cover.

Can NRGC supply a safety officer as part of a manpower package?

Yes. Safety officer is category 37 of the 40 manpower categories NRGC supplies, and can be included in a labour-only or supervisory supply package on hourly, monthly or project-duration terms.

Are NRGC workers insured?

Yes. All directly employed staff are registered with the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI), and NRGC holds the GOSI registration among the legal documents issued with its prequalification pack.
