Strip-out & site clearance
Demolition & Dismantling
Usually the first week of a refurbishment contract, and the week that decides the other twenty.
NRGC carries out soft strip and internal demolition, structural dismantling, MEP decommissioning, site clearance and debris removal, using directly employed labour under its own supervisors and safety officers. Demolition is most often taken as the opening phase of a renovation or refurbishment contract.
Most of our demolition work arrives attached to something else — a renovation, a refurbishment, a fit-out of a space that is already occupied by somebody else’s ceiling. Stripping it out is not a separate trade so much as the opening phase of the contract, and doing it carelessly is how a programme loses a fortnight to a services strike or a structure nobody surveyed.
We take it with our own labour, under our own civil supervisors and safety officers, with the MEP decommissioning done by the same electricians and plumbers who will install the replacement.
What the package covers
- Soft strip and internal demolition
- Structural dismantling and breaking
- Steel structure dismantling
- MEP decommissioning and isolation
- Partition, ceiling and floor finish removal
- Site clearance and debris removal
- Segregation and disposal to licensed tips
- Making good and preparation for the following trade
Demolition is offered as a capability of our directly employed civil crews and owned plant. The company profile records no standalone demolition contract as a named reference — the honest position, rather than a borrowed one. Ask for the crew and plant we would put on it.

Questions
About this service
Does NRGC take demolition-only contracts?
Yes, though most of our strip-out work comes as the first phase of a renovation or fit-out contract. Where demolition is let on its own we price it the same way — own labour, own supervision, disposal included.
Who handles safety on a demolition package?
Our two directly employed safety officers, working to the project’s approved method statement and risk assessment. NRGC does not hold ISO 45001 and does not publish incident-rate figures, so those are not claimed here.
Is debris disposal included?
Yes, where the scope calls for it — segregation on site, loading, haulage and disposal to a licensed tip, with tipping records provided. We own three steel containers and hire skips and tippers against the measured volume.
