EPC & Turnkey Projects
One contract, one programme, one party answerable at commissioning.
Under an EPC or turnkey contract the contractor carries the engineering, procurement and construction of a project under a single agreement and hands over a working facility. NRGC began with lump sum turnkey (LSTK) and lump sum procure & build (LSPB) work using its own engineering teams for design compliance, procurement, pre-commissioning and commissioning, and has since taken on full EPC scope.
Turnkey delivery is where NRGC started. Our earliest Saudi work was taken under lump sum turnkey (LSTK) and lump sum procure & build (LSPB) arrangements, with our own engineering staff carrying technical compliance for the design requirements, the procurement, and the pre-commissioning and commissioning at the end of it. Full EPC scope followed from that.
The argument for it is simple. Split engineering, buying and building across three parties and every gap between them becomes the client’s problem. Under one contract those gaps sit inside our programme, and there is one party to hold to the completion date.

Questions
About this service
What is the difference between turnkey and EPC?
Both put design, buying and building with one contractor. Turnkey (LSTK or LSPB) is usually priced as a lump sum against a defined employer’s requirement, while EPC describes the fuller engineering-led scope where the contractor also carries the detailed design. NRGC works under both, and under design-and-build and cost-plus arrangements where a client prefers an open book.
Does NRGC handle procurement on turnkey projects?
Yes. Procurement and logistics is a standing part of the business, covering local and international supply for construction and industrial projects, including vendor selection, expediting and delivery to site. On lump sum procure & build contracts it is the whole middle of the scope.
Who commissions the works at the end?
We do. Pre-commissioning and commissioning were carried by our own engineering teams on the LSTK and LSPB projects the company was built on, and they remain inside our scope rather than being passed to a separate specialist at handover.
